Booking and confirmation
These terms apply to every tour booked with Skivani, whether online, by email or over the counter at our Chermside shop. A booking exists once we have received payment and sent you a confirmation email with a booking reference. If you do not receive that email within two hours, contact us, because a seat is not held without it.
Names on the booking must match the people travelling. If you are booking for someone else, you are responsible for passing on the tour details and these terms to them.
Prices and payment
- Prices are quoted in Australian dollars and include GST.
- Full payment is taken at the time of booking unless we have agreed in writing to a deposit.
- Card payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not apply a surcharge for cards.
- Prices include coach travel, entry fees and catering as listed on the tour page. Anything described as optional is not included.
- We may adjust prices for future departures, but never after your booking is confirmed and paid.
Changes and cancellations by you
Plans change, and we would rather move you to another date than keep your money for a trip you cannot take.
- More than 48 hours before departure: free date change, or a refund minus a A$25 administration fee per booking.
- Between 48 and 24 hours before departure: date change allowed once, no refund.
- Less than 24 hours before departure or a no-show: no refund and no date change.
- Private charters and group bookings of eight or more are covered by separate cancellation terms set out in your quote.
Cancellation requests must be in writing to skivani@hotmail.com. The time we receive the email is the time we use, not the time you decided to cancel.
If we cancel or change a tour
Weather, road closures, park closures, minimum numbers and supplier failures can all force a change. If we cancel a departure outright, you can choose a full refund or a free transfer to another date. We will tell you as soon as the decision is made, and no later than 4 pm the day before a day tour.
If a tour is cut short after departure because of conditions outside our control, we will refund the portion of the tour that did not run where the supplier refunds us. We do not cover incidental costs such as flights, accommodation or car hire, so travel insurance is worth having.
On the day
Arrive at the pickup point ten minutes before the stated time. The coach cannot wait for latecomers, and a missed pickup is treated as a no-show.
- Follow the guide's safety instructions at all times, including at lookouts, on tracks and in the water.
- Alcohol and illegal substances are not permitted on our coaches or during guided activities.
- Behaviour that endangers other guests or staff may result in removal from the tour without refund.
- Some activities have minimum age, fitness or health requirements listed on the tour page. Tell us about relevant medical conditions when you book.
Liability and complaints
We take reasonable care in running every tour, but we are not liable for loss or injury caused by circumstances outside our control, or for personal belongings left on a coach or at a site. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the tour, except where Australian Consumer Law says otherwise.
If something went wrong, tell the guide on the day so we can fix it, then email us within 14 days with your booking reference. We investigate every complaint and respond in writing within 21 days.
